pcc promotional display

This is the promotional display that Portland Community College uses when they go to high schools to get the word out about the school. I based the design for this display on their existing branding. The colored panels are backed with Velcro and make it easy to update the information (I made about 20 alternate panels). This was a really fun project, I would love to do more displays in the future.

spring break 2011

It is spring break and I live in the prettiest city. I'm a lucky girl, I am so excited to see all the trees bloom this month and enjoy some sunshine.

A portrait of Pres Garfield (I didn't know it was him when I chose this picture, I just liked his beard) this was my very first attempt at scratch board.

animal planet logo remake | Illustrator

I am not a big fan of the new Animal planet logo seen below

So I decided to redesign it with out all the wacky lettering and the weird sideways M that looks like a 3. I wanted to create something that was fun and edgy but also kind of cute.

lobster lovers | Photoshop, InDesign & by hand

The first project for my illustration class was to draw a silhouette by hand and then apply it to a paper bag, then to come up with a recycled second use for the bag. I decided to make a to go bag for a lobster restaurant that can be reused as two lobster bibs. It was a really fun process and I'm really happy with the finished product. More detailed pictures to come.

Hand lettering

I stumbled on this picture of my first hand lettering project and it reminded me how much I love working outside of the computer. I would love to take the time to slow down and really focus on crafting more letters in the near future.
