I got the opportunity to choose the images that are featured on the cover of this fall's credit schedule and I thought it came out nice so here it is.

Projects

I'm so excited about the projects that I am working on this month, here is a taste of what I have been doing at my summer internship!

1. I'm working on the PCC Willow Creek Campus, "Green Screen" this project involves a really large wall that has a flat touch screen mounted in it that showcases all of the environmentally friendly features of the new campus. My job is to choose a paint color for the wall and then design a giant floor to ceiling vinyl sticker graphic that will be applied to draw attention to the screen.

2. I'm designing a 3D crafty wonderland of a window display for the PCC Downtown Center that includes a new info-graphic map that I'm working on as a focal point. Think handmade paper crafts and bold bright graphics!

3. I'm also making a giant 3 panel visual display board that PCC will use to recruit new students.

Textbook Design

This week I designed my first book cover for University Readers

it is a college level Geology Textbook I should be able to post a link to it once it is on Amazon.com. I really enjoyed the process and I'm really concerting focusing heavily on covers and book design in the future.

summer internship

I'm so excited to start my summer internship and get a sneak peek in to the working world of graphic design. I am curious what I will learn and produce in the next few months.

This was my very first freelance project. They decided to go with the design featuring the horse head instead of the popsicles but there is a possibility that both designs will be printed on t-shirts.

summer break

Two more school days and it is finally SUMMER! I am ready for 10000 bike rides, road trips, camping and having a little more time to play and pick up with some neglected hobbies. I have never been so excited for a vacation.

This is the final draft for my very first photoshop project.

boomtown menu tight rough | InDesign & Illustrator

This is the concept for the Boomtown Saloon menu. It is printed on a deck of playing cards (so That while customers are ordering they look like they are playing a game of poker.) I'm also printing a custom card box.

For Illustrator class we are designing and building working boxes based on a fruit or vegetable. I was assigned Soybean, Brussel Sprout, or Banana. I'm excited to make a 3D object! Phase #1 is designing the basic elements like the cover and pages for a binder documenting the design process. and a two page layout with pictures for research.
